about us

Step Two, LLC is a sober living home in Chicago, Illinois, just south of the intersection of Montrose and Western Avenues. Its short-term goal for its residents is a foundation for recovery, and its long-term goals include education and career success. Step Two, LLC provides a place to live while residents get back on their feet, and can also provide outsourcing for other services including outpatient psychological, psychiatric, and substance abuse treatment.

Celebrating its seventeenth anniversary (opened in 2005), it is close to the Brown (Ravenswood) line of the CTA as well as CTA Western Avenue bus service, allowing residents to travel to jobs and counseling almost anywhere in the city by public transportation.

what is a sober house?

A sober house provides a homelike environment for adult alcohol- and drug-addicted clientele. Unlike a halfway house or recovery home, there is no structured treatment component, but emergency services are provided when needed. Residents have sole responsibility for maintaining the residence and making rent payments, which are collected by the management of the facility.
